The Resting Rabbit is a charming, top-rated Airbnb located in the heart of Joshua Tree, near the national park.

Logo design:

Inspired by the wabi-sabi design aesthetic of the home, I opted for a hand-drawn logo to evoke a sense of peaceful imperfection. I created two versions, one for branded materials placed throughout the house, and one for a social icon. The two colors in the logos, shoji white and urbane bronze, are the exterior paint colors for the house and inspired that design decision.

Super 8 visuals:

The nostalgic feel of Super 8 film was the perfect medium to capture this Airbnb. Countless friends, families, and couples have made memories in this house, and capturing it in this way inspires the viewer to think what memories they could make there themselves.

Paintings:

Additionally, I was commissioned to create some large original artwork to be used throughout the house. A 2-canvas painting hangs in the living room, and another hangs in the main bedroom. The main inspiration for these were the shoji white color, Joshua Tree textures like rocks and crumbly soil, and the strong desert wind.
